A Levittown man will spend 10 years in federal prison for possessing images and video of children being sexually abused and sharing them online.
David Fetterolf, 54, received his sentence Wednesday in a federal court after pleading guilty in November 2017, according to a statement from United States Attorney William M. McSwain, who oversees the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Federal officials said an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security and Pennsylvania State Police revealed Fetterolf possessed more than 600 images and 29 videos of children being sexually abused. Among the media were ones showing bondage and sadistic conduct.
In addition to possessing the disturbing content, Fetterolf also shared the images and video on the internet.
“This is a horrifying crime committed by a defendant who exploited children for his own sexual gratification,” McSwain said. “Fetterolf is part of a community of deviant individuals who enjoy watching the innocence of young children shattered, their intimate privacy destroyed, and the worst moments of their young lives documented forever for others.”

McSwain said the each piece of media possessed by Fetterolf showed a “horrifying, life-changing moment for a child.”
Following his prison sentence, Fetterolf will be subjected to 10 years of supervised release and a $100,000 fine.
