Two people were freed from a badly damaged sedan Friday afternoon following a wreck.
Police said two people were badly hurt in the sedan and the driver of a Jeep involved did not suffer serious injuries in the crash that happened under the railroad bridge on Woodbourne Road near Wood Lane.

The two people inside the sedan were freed after firefighters from the Fairless Hills, Langhorne-Middletown, and Penndel fire companies cut off the roof, doors, and dashboard of the car, Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said.

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. and shut down Woodbourne Road in the area of Wood Lane into early evening, police said.
Farry said firefighters worked hard during the “challenging” extrication to free the two people in the sedan. One challenge was the narrow width of the road under the bridge.
