UPDATE: Police ID Delaware County Man As Pedestrian Who Was Fatally Struck

A pedestrian was killed Saturday evening along East Lincoln Highway in Middletown.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. on East Lincoln Highway approaching Oxford Valley Mall, police said.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the coroner arrived around 9:30 p.m.

The striking vehicle, according to police, stayed at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of East Lincoln Highway were expected to remain closed between the Oxford Valley Mall entrance and Oxford Valley Road until late Saturday night.
