4,400 Customers Without Power As Of Friday Morning

More and more homes had their power restored Thursday night into Friday morning.

PECO said 4,400 customers in the Levittown area remained without power as of 8:30 a.m. The largest number of outages were in Bristol Township, Falls Township and Middletown.

Most schools were open Friday for the first time since Tuesday. However, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School closed due to the a lack of heat in their building.

Lower Bucks County was hit hard by heavy snow and downed trees and limbs during Wednesday’s storm.

Close to 5,000 PECO staff members, contractors and teams from outside utility companies were working to restore power service.

PECO said that most customers should have electric service by Saturday, with the remaining customers back online by Sunday.

“To customers affected by yesterday’s storm, we appreciate your patience. Crews are in the process of restoring service to every customer,” PECO said.
