A hit-and-run crash earlier this month led to the arrest of two Lower Bucks County men.

Falls Township police said they were called last Monday around 2:32 p.m. to the area of Philadelphia Avenue in the Morrisville section for the report of a possible hit and run. Upon arrival, an officer found a Nissan sedan on the side of the road.

The occupants of the Nissan said they were traveling on Philadelphia Avenue when a white van began to tailgate them and eventually passed them. The Nissan pulled over and the driver and passenger switched positions. The van stopped and a man exited the van with a pink baseball bat, walking toward the Nissan. The driver of the Nissan reversed his vehicle and got stuck in the mud. The van also reversed and struck the rear passenger-side bumper of the car, according to court papers.

While Falls police were talking with the occupants of the Nissan, a Morrisville officer found the white van and a witness who watched the incident take place.

The Morrisville officer found the van parked and locked. The rear windows were darkened out and the officer used a flashlight to find James Joseph Pasco, 32, of Tullytown laying down in the rear of the vehicle. As Pasco was ordered out of the van, Brian M. Trentini, 33, of Lower Southampton, was spotted in the rear of the van, police said.

Pasco and Trentini were found to be in possession of knives and utility tools, police said.

Trentiti was found to have a pair of black handcuffs and a handcuff key on him at the time of his arrest, police said.

Officers also reported spotting soft body armor in the van and found a bag that is often used to package heroin with the stamp “NBA.” An officer allegedly found 60 bags of heroin under the front driver’s seat of the van.

At the Falls’ holding cell, Trentini had a bag stamped “NBA” fall from his pants. He said he did not “use that s**t” or “sell that s**t,” police said.

Pasco told an investigators while being taken to the police station that he did not use heroin and was not under the influence.
