Levittown-Area Man Awaiting Trial In Theft From Vehicle Cases

A Levittown-area man is facing theft from vehicle charges in Middletown and Upper Makefield.

Jeffrey Jay Ward, 42, who has listed addresses in Bristol and Levittown, was charged with theft from motor vehicles, loitering and prowling, and driving while operating privilege were suspended or revoked. Upper Makefield police said they processed him Friday ahead of a preliminary hearing scheduled for next week.

Ward, according to police, was the man behind the a theft from vehicle incident that happened last November 3 around 12:30 a.m. on Heritage Hills Drive in Upper Makefield.

By the time officers arrived to Heritage Hills Drive, Ward had fled in a vehicle on Taylorsville Road toward I-95. Lower Makefield officers were able to identify Ward and his vehicle, police said.

Ward was charged via summons and is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing on similar charges in Middletown. In 2017. Ward pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and sentenced to probation in two separate Bristol Township and Bensalem cases.
