12-Gauge Shotgun, Large Amount Of Drugs Found By Investigators, Cops Say

A group of detectives from a trio of law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a Middletown home last Friday and found a large stash of drugs.

Falls Township and Middletown police worked with the Bucks County Detective’s Drug Strike Force to execute a search warrant last Friday afternoon at a home in the 1000 block of Trenton Road in Middletown based on information from an ongoing probe.

Police said they seized cash, marijuana, prescription drugs, crack, and powdered cocaine, and 322 packets of heroin from inside the home. They also took custody of a 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition, a vehicle, and a motorcycle.

Donta Raheem Jones, 38, of Middletown, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances, possession with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felons not to possess firearms. He was arraigned Friday night by on-call District Judge Mark Douple and remanded to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.

Middletown police officials pointed to the fact that 322 bags of heroin were confiscated. They said taking the drugs off the street may have saved lives.

Authorities in Middletown recently launched a Special Investigations Unit to tackle drugs and vice issues. The squad of detectives worked with the township’s Criminal Investigations Division and other agencies.
