A Trenton man is in hot water after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash while operating a stolen car.

Kurtis Sedale Johnson, 28, was traveling west on South Olds Boulevard on Friday, December 29 when he ignored a steady red light and smashed into someone traveling along Trenton Road, police said.

After the crash, Johnson allegedly removed himself from the wreckage and fled toward Baker Sheet Metal, where he was apprehended, police said.

The probable cause affidavit noted that Johnson failed to offer aid to the victim of the crash and also failed to provide information after the crash.

In addition to allegedly driving a stolen car, Johnson also did not have a drivers’ license, according to court papers.
