Falls Township has adopted their 2018 proposed budget this month.
The budget, which is available in full here, was adopted unanimously by the board with little public comment at their December 19 Board of Supervisors meeting.

The township will uphold the 7.22 millage rate that equals $216.60 for the average assessed property. The tax rate has stayed the same since 2014 and matches the level approved by the township’s Board of Supervisors in 1992.
The budget sets aside $2.8 million for road reconstruction and repaving of other streets. A total of $154,000 is budgeted for improvements to the intersection of Levittown and Mill Creek parkways, $470,000 for new equipment for the police department and removal of damaged trees.
Officials plan to put $2 million aside for savings, growing the roughly $30 million reserve fund.

The township receives free tree and yard waste pickups yearly because Falls hosts Waste Management landfills. In addition, the township receives millions in host community fees, projected to be $14.8 million for 2018.
