The family-owned Beef Jerky Outlet is the newest addition to the Oxford Point Shopping Center at Lincoln Highway and Oxford Valley Road in Falls Township.
“The reception has really been amazing, we have been overwhelmed,” said Sharon Freibrun, one of the owners of the store.

The Beef Jerky Outlet has only been open for about two weeks, but in that time business owners and customers alike have made the family feel welcome.
The idea to open up their own Beef Jerky Outlet franchise came about a year-and-a-half ago when the Freidbruns were visiting family in North Carolina. Sharon explained that the family always spent a fair bit of cash at the store, when her husband, Michael, suggested that the family open a franchise at home. The Freidbruns’ franchise is the fifth in the state, with the closest store being about an hour away by car.
The long journey to opening included a lot of number crunching, research, planning and communication with the township for the first-time business owners.

Sharon said her family has worked for other people for so long that they decided to work very hard at something for themselves.
“It’s been interesting, but it has also been a whole lot of fun,” Sharon Freibrun said.

The family is continuing to learn and grow as more and more members in the community learn where the store is.
“It’s great, we are really excited,” she added.
Sharon Freibrun is a Pennsbury High School graduate and the family lives in nearby Yardley. Other business owners and managers from the strip have already stopped in to welcome the Freidbruns to the area.

The store has more than just jerky, as well. Popcorn, nuts, hot sauce, barbecue sauce, veggie snacks and t-shirts mean that there is something for everyone who comes into the shop, especially as the gift giving season approaches. There are also jerky products made from different types of meat, not just beef.
“We have all kinds of stuff,” Sharon said, running down the list of offerings.

The owners are working on gift baskets, and the store offers gift cards for any denomination.
