Man Dead After ATV Crash In Croydon

The driver of an all terrain vehicle died following a crash in Bristol Township’s Croydon section Tuesday evening.

The ATV driver, a 27-year-old Bristol man, was rushed to Lower Bucks Hospital by the Bucks County Rescue Squad and pronounced dead, police confirmed.

The crash happened in the 1400 block of Newport Road near Steele Avenue around 5:20 p.m.

A preliminary investigation found that the man’s 2006 Polaris Predator was traveling westbound on Newport Road behind a 2013 Toyota Camry driven by a 42-year-old Bensalem woman. The ATV struck the rear of the Toyota and the man suffered fatal injuries, police said.

Newport Road was closed in the area of the crash until 7:45 p.m.

Bristol Township police were assisted at the scene by the Newportville Fire Company and Bristol Township Fire Police.
