Under sunny skies, Wolf, a first-time Democratic governor running for re-election next year, endorsed Galloway and praised his work for the residents of the 140th Legislative District, which is made up of Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township, Tullytown and parts of Middletown and Morrisville.

Galloway said Wolf was a “loyal friend” who has helped his district receive funding to make the community better, including helping fund Bristol Borough’s recent revitalization.

Galloway, a moderate Democrat, grew up in Levittown as one of 10 kids and was first elected to the state House of Representatives in 2006. On his website, he notes that he was the Levittown native to be elected to the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

If re-elected, Galloway said he would continue to work on program to strengthen the area and is willing to continue working with peers of all parties.

Galloway is rumored to face a Democratic primary challenger this spring. However, no candidate has officially stepped forward.

While in Bristol, Wolf walked down Mill Street and talked with residents and business owners. He made a stop in Mignoni Jewelry before heading to the Bristol Wharf along the Delaware River.

“Is the weather always this nice?” the governor asked along the picturesque waterfront.

Borough officials, including Mayor Joe Saxton and Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar Chairman Bill Pezza, presented Wolf with memorabilia from the town.

“I got to Harrisburg and was talking about Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol,” Galloway said. “[Wolf] can come here and see where that money is going.”

For future state funding, the governor now has an idea of where every penny will go and how it will benefit the borough, Galloway said.

“This is great to see what Bristol has done,” Wolf said.
