Bensalem police said late Tuesday afternoon that they have identified the butt crack bandit and were searching for him.
The suspect was identified as 40-year-old Peter Harkins III, a resident of Phoneixville, Montgomery County. A warrant on robbery, theft and related offenses was issued late Tuesday afternoon by District Judge Michael Gallagher, according to police and court records.
“Let’s find him and get him off of the street,” police said.

On Monday, Phoenixville police filed an arrest warrant in Montgomery County for Harkins in connection to an alleged robbery that happened Sunday at a Pizza Hut. He is also a suspect in the Monday robbery of a Domino’s Pizza in Willow Grove, Montgomery County, according to an FBI press release.
FBI investigators said Harkins in 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes, brown hair and brown beard and mustache. He may be driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with “Forcine Concrete” written in green on the side and Pennsylvania tag ZDG-1143.

Anyone with information on Harkins’ whereabouts is urged to call police at 215-633-3719 or the FBI at 215-418-4000. Federal officials said there may be a reward for tipsters that lead to Harkins arrest and information can be reported anonymously.

A Bensalem bank was robbed Halloween morning by a bandit whose butt crack was partly exposed.

Police said the suspect entered the Santander Bank along Street Road, which sits about 1.5 miles from Bristol Township’s Croydon section, and implied he had a weapon. The teller at the counter complied and turned over an undetermined amount of cash to the man before he fled.
The suspect covered his right hand with a gray shirt when he was implying he had a gun, police said.

A police helicopter was called in and flew over the area in search of the suspect.
Investigators said the suspect may be connected to other robberies in the region.
