A child abducted from Harrisburg was turned in to Bristol Borough police Sunday.
Melissa Szafran, a resident of New Jersey, drove to the borough police station around 6 p.m. Sunday and surrendered 5-year-old Gianna Marie Savage, her daughter, to officers. The law enforcers remained with the child until a guardian arrived, according to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.

Gianna, according to authorities, was under the custody of her uncle and her mother is only allowed visits.
During a church service at a cathedral in Harrisburg, Szafran took her daughter to the bathroom and never returned, police said.
As of Monday morning, court records in Bucks County and Harrisburg, did not list any charges against Szafran or the man she was with in Harrisburg.
