Update On Our In The Know Club

I don’t want to bury the lead (or lede) so I’ll start with this: LevittownNow.com’s exclusive In The Know Club has seen great success in its first few months and we’re thrilled to have a renewal rate of more than 97 percent!

I just wanted to write to provide an update to our readers and encourage those who are not yet members of the exclusive In The Know Club to sign up today!

I know I’ve said this before, but I want to say it again – thank you for your support! Covering local news and supporting our area business community is costly, but it is most vital to the health of our communities. The In The Know Club allows our most dedicated readers to receive exclusive breaking news alerts and updates directly to their cell phone, enters them in the chance to win special prizes and opens them up to discounts on events we host while paying no more than a few dollars per month.

The In The Know Club comes in three payment cycles – $8 per month, $20 for three months (a savings of 25%) or $75 for one year (a savings of 28%).

We have been holding monthly giveaways and since April have given away more than $3,000 in prizes and offered discounts to several businesses, including the historic King George Inn along the Delaware River in Bristol Borough. For the future, we are working to publicize those efforts more.

For this cycle, In the Know Club monthly giveaway winners will receive two Bucks County Wine Trail passports courtesy of the eight wineries that run the program. One new feature that is part of the In The Know Club is a private members-only Facebook group to all of you. With this group, we hope to foster a stronger discussion between our readers and reporters. This is a new step for us, and we’re going to experiment with what works best. Our In The Know Club membership is growing, but we expect Facebook interaction to pick up over time.

Also, we plan to hold our first quarterly In The Know Club get together before the end of the year. We’re really looking forward to starting these events!

Our team works to consistently serve up a variety of articles on numerous topics. Our focus is to bring you everything you need to know to move forward with your day. Through this, we believe we’ve made an undeniable impact on the civic and cultural life of Lower Bucks County.

• More than 13,300 articles, 21,000 photos and 250 videos – all of them local – published since we launched in March 2013.

• We are active members of the local business community.

• Our readers have helped police capture more than 30 wanted persons.

• Eight missing persons – including an endangered young boy who wandered miles from home – have been located by our readers.

• Thousands of dollars in advertising donated to nonprofits and thousands more donated due to our articles.

• Our team is active in partnerships with local and national media outlets.

• In October, I will be traveling to Chicago to work with our local publishers on ways to grow our community and increase our positive impact, including taking part in a panel of covering the opioid epidemic.

I’ve stated this before and truly believe that our community is powerful and more than just a series of zip codes. It’s what makes the Levittown area special and allows for a thriving business community.

Community will remain a cornerstone of what we do and the considerations we take while doing it.
