When we launched LevittownNow.com four years ago, our mission was to serve the community and that remains our goal. In these past few years we’ve learned more about community and what it means. Community is a powerful word and something that residents of the Levittown area have a pretty strong sense of what it means. In all honesty, it’s what makes this a special place.
We know our readers – more than 120,000 Bucks County residents – count on us to bring the breaking news, real-time police and fire coverage, school, municipal, and community news. Our motto is Everything You Need To Know, and it’s a mission we take very seriously. From spending hours at local government meetings to tracking down public records, our reporters are committed to keeping you in the know.

Our advertisers have been the backbone for us to continue to do what we do – keeping it local. As you likely already know, informing the community isn’t something we do in a bubble, we rely on local residents and local businesses to help us fulfill our mission. As we celebrate our fourth anniversary, we are now offering to our readers an opportunity to be part of and support our work with a voluntary membership, as many of our fellow local online news publishers have also done.
We’re calling our new initiative the “In The Know Club.”
You, the reader, will continue to have free access to LevittownNow.com and our e-mail newsletter going forward. To be clear, this is not the prelude to a mandatory paywall where we withhold the news from you unless you pay a fee. We believe strongly that our readers should be able to access our content free of charge.

We are appealing to our readers who like what we do to help us do more. Our business is a solid one and we have no plans of going away but producing local news is an expensive venture. There is more we would like to do that will require additional resources for personnel and equipment. A voluntary subscription that provides you with benefits will help us reach that goal.
Over the past year, several readers have approached us offering donations of what they would have paid for their newspaper or online news subscription. The idea of offering a voluntary subscription didn’t initially sit well with me, but after many discussions with readers, our team and fellow local news publishers at the LION Publishers conference in Chicago last October, I warmed up to the idea to help grow our coverage and reward our my loyal readers.
Below is more information on what our memberships cost and will offer to you, our readers.

Our goal is to continue supporting and informing the community – small business, big impact – through supporting our advertisers. Our strict focus is on local happenings.
