An administrator was injured while escorting a student involved in an “altercation” Tuesday afternoon.
According to a note to parents from Harry S. Truman High School Principal Lyndell Davis, the administrator fell onto the ground while escorting a student to the nurse’s office. The fall was serious enough that the administrator needed medical attention. The extent of the injuries to the administrator were not released.

The incident happened following an “altercation” between fourth and fifth period that involved four students, Davis wrote.
Several sources told LevittownNow.com Bristol Township police and an ambulance was called to the high school.
Students were kept in class while medical care was provided to the administrator. Superintendent Dr. Melanie Gehrens said there was no lockdown.

“Contrary to other rumors, there were no bombs or weapons on school premises,” Davis said.
“As is always the case, students are encouraged to work with our administrators and guidance counselors to resolve conflicts with other students. The safety of your children are our highest priority,” he further wrote to parents.

The district and police did not provide more information on whether any students were taken into custody.
