SEPTA officials said the stoppage of trains was due to an “emergency evacuation” and “police activity.” As of 6:20 p.m., full details were not immediately available and the train stoppage remained.

Images on Twitter showed groups of people walking along the tracks in Center City. A LevittownNow.com reader who was commuting to work said little information was available on the train, but they spotted SEPTA police officers walking along the tracks.
