Falls Twp., Organizations Present $14,750 To Liberty USO

Falls Township officials have presented a check to Liberty USO as part of their summer fundraising efforts.

The Board of Supervisors presented the check to Kate McCloud of Liberty USO last week. The check was for $10,300.

“We started 8 years ago, just a handful of people with the BBQ competition,” Supervisors Vice Chairman and Que For The Troops Organizer Jeff Dence said. “Every year it’s gotten a little bigger.”

To date, the township has donated about $85,000 to the nonprofit organization, which supports militaryย members and their families.

“Our motto is always bigger and better,” Dence said.

Que sponsor Abe Brooks Construction, as well as Delaware Valley Roadrunnner Club, Falls Soccer Club and Levittown United also presented contributions to Liberty USO during Tuesday’s Supervisors meeting.

According to Dence, Liberty USO receivedย $14,750 in donations from all of the involved organizations at the supervisors meeting last week.
