Falls Township police have charged the man they say opened fire inside a local office building.
Police said shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday, a resident of the G section of Pennwood Crossing reported to police that four shots had been fired at the development’s office and clubhouse.

When Falls Township officers arrived, they spoke with two employees of the development who told police they were inside the office on Adler Drive when they heard shots and bullets enter the office.

According to court documents, the bullets missed the resident’s heads by inches.
Officers noted in official documents that numerous bullet holes were observed on both the interior and exterior of the office building. Residents counted numerous holes riddling the building.
The mobile home park officials told police that they had recently told Jimmy Stormant, 55, that the office was not responsible for the electric service not working properly at his residence before he recklessly opened fire inside the building.

Falls and Morrisville officers then responded to Stormant’s residence on Galen Drive and found him seated on the steps outside. A 32 caliber six-shot revolver, a bottle of Johnny Walker and a Bible were laid next to Stormant’s feet.
“Officers arrived on scene and they began to speak to the subject trying to get him to drop the gun when one of the subjectโs family members, who was nearby, grabbed the gun, which was in the subjectโs hand. As they struggled for the weapon officers tackled both of the them and were able to disarm the subject,” Lt. Hank Ward said.
According to police, Stormantย was threatening suicide to the responding officials once taken into custody.
A shotgun and another long gun, along with ammunition, were seen in plain sight inside a vehicle registered to Stormant.
In an interview with police, Stormant admitted that he took a shotgun, a rifle, and a handgun with him in his truck. He then dropped his dog off with his ex-wife and left money with his mother, before loading his shotgun and firing five rounds into the Pennwood Crossing office building. Stormant then reloaded the shotgun and fired five more rounds before exiting the building and driving home.

Stormant told policeย he was specifically angry at a maintenance supervisor at the mobile home park development.
Police noted there were several pedestrians in the area at the time of the shooting, including students waiting for the school bus.
“There was a bus stop located in that area and children were waiting for the bus at the time of the shooting,” Ward said.
The Pennsbury School District said police escorted a bus of elementary school students from the area of the shooting to school due to the incident.
Stormant was arraigned Tuesday afternoon and remanded to prison on 10 percent of $750,000 bail.
