The annual Mill Street Run is returning to Bristol Borough on Saturday, September 9 for its golden anniversary.
The Mill Street Run actually features a number of different races for runners of varying ages and skill levels. Races kick off at 8:30 a.m. with the high school girls’ teams race. The boys’ teams follow up at 9:15 a.m. At 9:45, the open race kicks off. Registration for the open race costs $25.

Following the 5K races, two shorter jaunts for younger kids will be held. A grade-school race for students in grades one through eight will kick off at 10:30 a.m. and a two-and-a-half block race for kids up to 6-years-old will kick off at 10:35 a.m. Participation in these races is free.
This year’s run is the event’s 50th anniversary and will feature a number of local schools, including Bristol Borough High School, Archbishop Ryan High School, Council Rock North High School, Council Rock South High School, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School, Neshaminy High School and Pennsbury High School. In total, there are 12 schools registered to participate.
“I am very happy to have served our running community and the town of Bristol in this way,” said John Mundy, the founder and organizer of the 50th annual Mill Street Run.

An award ceremony will follow all of the races at 11 a.m. at Bristol Lions Park.
