Daytime Road Closures Hit Old Lincoln Highway

A gas main replacement project on Old Lincoln Highway and Hulmeville Road is underway.

The PECO project is being performed by a contractor and will close Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown starting this week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Hulmeville Road and Brownsville Road. The closures will take place during the day through Friday, September 22.

The gas line work is part of a multi-year effort to modernize PECO’s natural gas system, a utility spokesperson said last year.
