
The threat of a police K-9 was enough to stop two men police were looking to catch up with Sunday night.
Middletown officers received information that two men – one who was wanted on a warrant for parole violations in Philadelphia – went into a wooded area off Juniper Drive in Levittown. Upon arrival, an officer used his police dog to track the trail of the two but they tried to flee, according to court papers.

In a heavily wooded area, an officer ordered the pair to stop but they did not listen and moved forward, police said.
Eventually, the duo crossed Mill Creek and ended up along the clearing for the PECO high-tension power lines. The men surrendered after an officer threaten to use his K-9.
A black backpack was found in the wooded area and an officer allegedly found suspected drug paraphernalia and heroin residue.

Steven Jeremy Reese and Christopher B. Reese, both 30 and residents of Levittown, were identified as the two men who fled. Steven Jeremy Reese had the parole warrant out of Philadelphia.
Christopher B. Reese was charged with resisting arrest, loitering and prowling at nighttime and disorderly conduct. Steven Jeremy Reese was charged with resisting arrest, loitering and prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct and two drug-related charges.

The men were arraigned and both sent to prison unable to post bail.
