Levittown-area police assisted Lower Makefield officers who were searching for a man who allegedly assaulting his father.
Lower Makefield authorities said in a press release that Falls Township, Middletown and Tullytown officers assisted them in an hours-long search for a 38-year-old man Wednesday.

The man’s parents told police they were concerned because their son has access to numerous firearms, including a rifle.
Police, according to Lower Makefield Chief Ken Coluzzi, put two tactical response vehicles on the road and observed his parent’s home. He was taken into custody while enroute to the home on Barnswallow Road.
The press release noted the 38-year-old man was taken for a mental health evaluation and he will be charged at a later date.
