A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a violent crash involving his SUV and a tractor-trailer along Route 13 in Bristol Township’s Croydon section.
The tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on Route 13 when the southbound SUV collided head-on with the truck late Wednesday afternoon. The SUV ended up in underbrush and the tractor-trailer smashed into the guardrail and fence along the railroad tracks, officials said.

“It sounded like a bomb,” a nearby resident told LevittownNow.com.
One witness told police the SUV crossed the center lane and hit the left front of the tractor-trailer head-on, police Lt. John Godzieba said.
Firefighters from several local departments were called to the scene to extricate the trapped SUV driver, who was taken to Aria-Jefferson Health’s Torresdale campus by the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
