Police said in court papers that Ryan, a mother to a young child, suffered abrasions to her arms and legs, an “obvious” leg fracture and a serious wound to the back of her head. The hospital noted to investigators that Ryan suffered a laceration to her skull and brain swelling.
Ryan’s husband, Andrew, 31, of Warminster, was allegedly driving with his wife after leaving a local bar when the incident happened. Witnesses told police that the pickup truck driven by Andrew Ryan swerved across Lincoln Highway near Oxford Valley Road and was speeding leading up to the 31-year-old woman being thrown from the vehicle onto the pavement. A witness additionally told officers the landscaping trailer attached to the pickup truck struck Robin Ryan.
State police and Falls officers caught up with Andrew Ryan and his truck along Trenton Road in the area of Elmwood Road after callers relayed his location to 9-1-1 dispatchers. He was arrested and was suspected of being intoxicated.

Andrew Ryan later told investigators he had four beers and two shots of tequila at a bar with his wife, whom he had been “bickering” with all day about finances. The argument picked up steam while driving in the pickup truck and he let Robin Ryan out before she returned to the vehicle but did not fully latch the door. Ryan admitted to detectives he was aware the door was not fully closed and swerved to the side to let his wife out of the pickup again despite her not actually asking him pull over a second time. Soon after, she fell from the vehicle and he drove off. He admitted to being “drunk.”
The Ryans have been married since August 2015, according to the couple’s marriage license.
