A child was flown to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after falling into a pool Tuesday afternoon.
The child fell into a pool along Village Lane in Middletown around 3 p.m. The child was only in the pool for a short time but was rushed to the hospital, police said.

Family members pulled the child from the pool and performed first aid until the rescue squad arrived.
A police officer said the child was alert and conscious when taken to St. Mary Medical Center before being flown to the city childrens’ hospital for further evaluation.
