PennDOT announced two sets of travel restrictions on Bristol Township roads starting Monday.

A contractor working for PennDOT will put lane restrictions in place on Newportville Road between Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. as a high friction resurfacing operation will begin. The pavement work will add ” increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.”

The resurfacing project is part of a $4.5 million contract that will include work by J.D. Eckman Inc of Chester County on 25 roads in the Philadelphia region. The work is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.

The second project involves PECO work that will cause lane restrictions on State Road between Wyoming Avenue and Bellevue Avenue in Croydon starting Monday at 9 a.m. and running until 3 p.m. The lane restrictions are expected to continue on weekdays through late August, according to PennDOT.
