“Small Business Revolution” finished up the last of its major filming in Bristol Borough Sunday evening with a special closing ceremony where Amanda Brinkman, Robert Herjevac and local officials before the assembled group.

“This gathering carries so many emotions,” started Bill Pezza, the president of Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar. “Pride for what the town has accomplished, sadness in saying goodbye to the generous people behind the Small Business Revolution and joy at the prospect of being able to relax at the end of a long period of hard work.”

“We were working hard in Bristol before you came, but you have given us a psychological boost and the valuable tools to be smarter and more efficient,” Pezza went on.

“Wherever this journey takes us, we want you to remember one thing – Bristol Borough is always a place you can call home,” declared Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe II.

DiGuiseppe presented ceremonial keys to the town to Brinkman, the chief brand and communications officer at Deluxe and Herjevac. The gift was only the first that would be given between the parties at the ceremony.

After playing with some rescue puppies and taking photos with fans before making his way up to the podium, Herjevac explained his gratitude in being part of the filming for the streaming series and to be in riverfront town.

“I am super happy to be involved with this, but it really Deluxe you should be thanking,” Herjevac started. “It’s so humbling to be here.”

Herjevac told the crowd of his family’s immigration to Canada from a tiny 300-person town in Yugoslavia.

“It’s what you do with what you have, and this place is really going somewhere,” Herjevac said.

“It was apparent to us right away that Bristol Borough deserved to be a part of the small business revolution,” Brinkman said.

When the crew first arrived in town, it was obvious, Brinkman explained, that the town was already working to better itself. The show was only a boost to a fledgling movement in town.

“You have a remarkable community here, built on trust and support,” Brinkman said during her remarks to the town.

“Today is not the end of the small business revolution, it is the beginning of the Bristol revolution,” Brinkman said.

At the end of her remarks, Brinkman surprised Pezza with a giant check for $10,000 made out to Raising the Bar.

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick also made an appearance, praising Bristol Borough as an unequaled town in the county.

“This has been remarkable, from the beginning of the journey to the end,” said Ramona Jones, one of the owners of Discover, Learn and Grown, one of the six businesses to receive advice from Deluxe and industry experts for the show.

“We’ve gained lots of tools and resources to really help us run our business,” said Marcelous Jones of Discover, Learn and Grown.

While the main film crews were leaving, they have left behind numerous improvements in marketing and the central business district. Many of the changes were to empower business owners and will help the town in the long run.

The second season on Small Business Revolution is set to premier on Hulu and SmallBusinessRevolution.org
