According to a probable cause affidavit, on Tuesdayย shortly before 10 a.m., Falls officers were dispatched to the Vitamin Shoppe located on Commerce Boulevard for the report of a male customer exposing himself to a female employee. Dispatch informed officers prior to arrival that the man, later identified as Dermer, had his pants down exposing his genitals while in the store.
When police arrived on scene moments later they were informed by the victim that Dermer had asked her what was on sale and seemed to be leading her to the back of the store asking questions before exposing himself to her. The victim told officers she left from the rear of the store and promptly called police.
Police then spoke with Dermer, who told officers that his pants had fallen down accidentally and that the female employee could not see him when the incident occurred. The law enforcement officer recorded in his report that Dermer was observed wearing no underwear, with his zipper was completely down, and wearing oversized jeans with a belt loosened to the fifth hole.

Court records indicate that Dermer pleaded guilty in New York last year to public lewdness when he exposed himself in a Kohl’s department store in Nanuet, Rockland County.
