Penndel Borough police played a role in the investigation that led to the arrest of an Upper Bucks County man.
According to New Britain Township police, Penndel police assisted multiple agencies and the FBI execute a search warrant on 57-year-old Perkasie resident Douglas Maddox’s home Wednesday as part of a child pornography investigation.

Police said they found files of child pornography were downloaded to the residence. A preliminary examination of evidence gathered Wednesday found “several hundred files of additional child pornography.”
Maddox came under investigation in October 2016 after a computer was linked to the sharing of child porn, police said.
Maddox was charged with possession of child pornography and related offenses. He was arraigned and released on $75,000 unsecured bail.
