District Judge Bests Challenger In Middletown

District Judge John Kelly beat out his challenger in Tuesday’s primary election.

Kelly, who represents a large portion of Middletown in Magisterial District 07-1-08, bested political newcomer David Kemmerer in his race. Kelly will appear on the both the Democratic and Republican ballots.

Kelly, a former Middletown police officer, has held his seat since the late 1980s and gained more votes than Kemmerer, a lieutenant for the Bucks County Detectives.

Kelly has never before faced a challenger for his seat.
