Former Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick Receiving Honorary Degree

Former Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick will be presented with an honorary degree during Holy Family University’s 2017 Commencement Ceremony.

Fitzpatrick, a Republican whose brother now holds the seat, will be honored next Tuesday during the commencement at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.

“Holy Family is pleased to honor Michael G. Fitzpatrick for his leadership, public service, strong convictions, and sense of responsibility to his family, his faith, and his community,” the university said in a statement.

The Catholic liberal arts university praised Fitzpatrick, a Middletown resident, for his pro-life stance, saying he “steadfastly advocated for the rights of the unborn.”

Fitzpatrick’s wife, Kathy, is an alumna Holy Family University.
