During last Monday night’s Bristol Borough Council work session meeting, the governing body made a number of donations to different municipal and school services.
The biggest donation of the evening went to the Advisory and Oversight Committee for the group’s summer activities program. The $10,000 from the borough will help the summer program for kids in the borough. The educational programs’ activities include field trips to Trenton Thunder games and the Neshaminy State Park.

The next donation went to fire house number 3. The house was recently updated and renovated. The $7,500 gift from the borough is a token thank you for further investing in the borough, Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe II explained.
The final donation was a $1,000 gift to the fire police in Bristol.
“It defers their expenses for gas and everything else,” said Council Vice President Betty Rodriguez.

Rodriguez presented the checks to Gene Williams of the Grundy Foundation, Fire Chief Herb Slack, and fire police volunteer Mark Burton respectively.
