New freight rail tracks and a crossover will be constructed in Falls Township thanks to a financial boost from Pennsylvania.
Earlier this week, Gov. Tom Wolf’s office announced the State Transportation Commission approved more than $40 million to fund rail projects throughout the state. The governor’s office said the projects will help keep Pennsylvanians employed.

Tyburn Railroad LLC, which has a Morrisville address, will receive $420,000 to construct more than 1,000 feet of new track and install a crossover in Falls.
“Keeping our extensive rail freight system in good shape is a common-sense way to ensure a sound foundation for the state’s economy,” Wolf said in a statement. “Pennsylvania is ranked first when it comes to operating railroads, and we are committed to working with this vital industry to serve the state’s business community and keep our job picture bright.”
