A construction worker was injured Monday after falling from scaffolding onto a steel deck at an under-construction car dealership.
The 26-year-old man was in the middle of working on a masonry portion of the new CarMax Auto Superstore along East Lincoln Highway in Middletown when he fell off the scaffolding and down about 12 feet to a steel deck that was about 15 to 20 feet off the ground around 9:30 a.m., Penndel Fire Company Chief Chuck Fox said.

Medics helped the man and worked with firefighters to package him in a rescue basket before using a ladder to get him to the ground, Fox said.
The victim’s condition was not available as of publication.
Crews from the Langhorne-Middletown, Parkland and William Penn fire companies assisted Penndel firefighters, the Middletown Fire Marshal’s Office and the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
