An area man has continued to violate his estranged wife’s Protection From Abuse (PFA) order and will now spend time in jail waiting for his preliminary hearing.

Troy Rushing, 55, of Levittown, was arrested and charged with stalking, criminal trespassing, and loitering and prowling at night.

A probable cause affidavit notes that Falls Township police were dispatched to Main Street in the Fallsington section of the township for harassment via communication as well as a PFA violation. Upon arrival,ย the victim told officers that Rushing had been calling at night and sending texts saying he could see her at the kitchen table in her home.

Surrounding units searched the area for Rushing but were initially unsuccessful until a sergeant with the department, while in an unmarked car, located Rushing walking on Yardley Avenue. Rushing then started running through yards and hiding around homes, which alerted several neighbors in the area.

The officer exited his vehicle and chased Rushing into a wooded area along Lower Morrisville Road and took him into custody.

Once in custody, Rushing told officersย he refuses to comply with the order or stay away from his estranged wife.

Rushing has a history with law enforcement. He was arrested in 2014 for disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief, and for criminal trespassing back in 2010.

Rushing was arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
