On Saturday, April 15 shortly before 1 p.m., Falls Township officers were dispatched to Nasturitum Lane in Levittown for the report of a known subject who was described by family members as schizophrenic and was reported to be using PCP and attacking family members while armed with a knife.
Shortly after the call, officers were informed via dispatch that Kennedy had left the scene in a white Hyundai. Kennedy was seen making an illegal right turn on red from Falls-Tullytown Road to Penn Valley Road before entering Route 13, running through a stop sign, exiting onto Tyburn Road and making a U-turn in front of oncoming traffic, as noted in court documents.
Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens but Kennedy reportedly ignored them, accelerating on Tyburn Road and leading police on a 21-minute 25-mile pursuit that went through Falls, Lower Makefield, Middletown and Bristol townships. Kennedy, according to a probable cause affidavit, reached a top speed of 115 mph and traveled through areas of heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including portions of I-95 south that wereย under construction.

According to police, the pursuit ended at Edgely Estates in Bristol Township when Kennedy exited his vehicle and began to confront a resident. While he was directed by police several times to get on the ground, he failed to comply with commands and resisted officers, forcing them to taser him until he was safely restrained in handcuffs, court papers stated.
Kennedy was then transported for a DUI blood test in an effort to be medically cleared for incarceration. While there, Kennedy’s behavior was erratic, according to court documents. He was sweating heavily, claimed to be God and immortal. He also repeatedly licked his lips and was fixated on having someone bring him water, police said.

LevittownNow.com readers said Kennedy’s car zoomed past them at several points in the chase.
“I swear every cop in Bucks County was chasing that car,” a Bristol Township resident wrote in an email.
Kennedy was arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
