Pittsburgh-area retailer Rue21 is closing about 400 stores, including the one in the Oxford Valley Mall.
The teen-focused brand confirmed on its website that the store inside Middletown mall would be shutting its doors. No closing date or number of impacted employees was announced.

The company operates around 1,200 stores and has been facing financial troubles with a large amount of debt, Bloomberg.com reported.
On social media, Rue21 stated that the closings are “difficult but necessary.”
Certain discounts and promotions are no longer being offered at the Oxford Valley Mall store due to the impending closure, the company said on its website.

Rue21 stores in Philadelphia Mills and Moorestown, New Jersey, will remain open.
