Frank Tuccillo, 58, of Bristol Borough, was charged with one count each of insurance fraud, theft by deception, criminal use of a communication facility, unlawful use of a computer and providing false information to law enforcement authorities. Tuccillo is accused of reporting to insurance in 2014 that his home has been burglarized and several items had been taken, including a custom $20,000 diamond ring. Investigators discovered that the ring was already in police custody during the burglary as part of a false claim that Tuccillo previously made, a statement from Shapiro’s office said.
Angel Paz Manriquez, 34, of Bristol Township, was charged with one felony count of insurance fraud, a separate misdemeanor count of insurance fraud and one count each of criminal attempt to commit theft by deception and criminal use of a communication facility. Law enforcement officials alleged that Manriquez made a false claim stating he was involved in a vehicle crash prior to obtaining a new insurance policy.
In Bucks County, residents from Bensalem and Yardley were charged in unrelated cases.
