The mother of two sons who were shot when they allegedly robbed a Middletown pizza shop was sentenced to state prison Wednesday for her role in the incident.

Robin Lynn Soto, 52, of Middletown, was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in a state correctional institution. She also received a concurrent 10 years of probation, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Soto had already pleaded guilty to robbery and conspiracy. She has also agreed to testify in any future court cases.

According to police, Soto and Chasity Demi Ramos, 26, of Bristol Borough, scoped out Porfirio’s II Pizza in the Skyline Shopping Center in Middletown’s Levittown on the night of November 15 before Justin Rose, 22, who is Ramos’ boyfriend, and his brother Shawn Rose, 24, walked in with realistic-looking pellet guns in a failed robbery attempt.

Ramos, who has young children, was sentenced last week.

Shawn Rose was shot dead and Justin Rose suffered a gunshot wound, which has left lifelong injuries, to the neck after threatening the two employees and a lone customer, police said.

The 35-year-old customer who fired the shots in self defense seized the opportunity when Shawn Rose looked away after pistol-whipping him and pulled his personal Glock .45 handgun from his jacket, shooting both men, police said.

Justin Rose was reportedly on the phone with Soto and Ramos at the time of the botched robbery.

Justin Rose is currently awaiting trial in the case.

Soto has no criminal history prior to the 2016 incident.
