A hoax call about a robbery that never happened in Bristol Township is under investigation.

Lt. Ralph Johnson said Harry S. Truman High School received a call Friday morning from a Quakertown-area phone number. The person on the other end of the line had an English-accent and told the school to go into lockdown due to a robbery in the nearby Indian Creek section of Levittown.

“The caller was purporting to be from dispatch,” Johnson said.

Police said they did not receive any report of a robbery in Indian Creek and did not order a lockdown of any schools.

An officer was dispatched to the high school to try to sort out the incident.

Johnson said all students were safe.

An alert sent to parents from the district said the high school will remain on a modified lockdown due to the strange incident.
