Cops Nab Two Accused In Monday Bank Robbery

Two men were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with Monday’s robbery of the BB&T Bank in Bristol Borough.

Authorities confirmed that Thomas Ephraim Henderson, 46, and Kenneth Girard Williams, 53, both of Bristol Township, were taken in custody Wednesday morning at the Americas Best Value Inn (former Days Inn) at Green Lane and Route 13 in Bristol Township.

Uniformed and plainclothes officers along with detectives from multiple police agencies went to the hotel and arrested the two men they allege were involved with the bank robbery, Bristol Borough Chief of Police Steve Henry said.

Prior to the arrests at the motel, SWAT team members arrived with officers to Henderson’s home on Rockview Drive with a warrant for the 46 year old.

Henderson, according to police, walked into the BB&T branch of Radcliffe Street around 1:45 p.m. Monday. He passed a note that indicated he was armed with guns and a bomb. He demanded money and made off with his loot toward Mill Street.

Williams exact role was not immediately released, but police stated he was involved.

Police did not say exactly how they narrowed Henderson and Williams down as suspects but thanked the public for providing “valuable information.”

Henderson and Williams were arraigned on charges of robbery, theft, simple assault and conspiracy Wednesday afternoon before District Judge Joanne Kline. Bail for the two was set at 10 percent of $500,000 before they were taken to county prison.

Bensalem, Bristol Township, Falls Township and Tullytown police assisted in the case and arrests along with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, FBI and Bucks County Rescue Squad.
