A proposed Dollar General store received preliminary land development approval earlier this week.
The Falls Township Planning Commission granted Marek Tchorewski and Anthony Malinowski preliminary land development for a proposed 7,400-square-foot Dollar General store at 1279 Old Bristol Pike in the Morrisville section of the township. The lot is across from the Wawa at Old Bristol Pike and Penn Valley Road.

The attorney representing the developers said the 1.7 acre lot is zoned commercial and currently vacant land. The new Dollar General would feature 33 parking spots, an enclosed trash area and a loading dock area.
The Dollar General still needs further approvals before construction can begin.
Dollar General, which is based in Tennessee and operates 12,400 stores, runs nearby stores on Pine Street in Langhorne Borough and along Route 13 in Bristol Borough.
