The drill will take place inside Charles Boehm Middle School on Big Oak Road in Lower Makefield. William Penn Middle School on Derbyshire Road in Lower Makefield and Pennsbury High School West on South Olds Boulevard in Falls Township will also be utilized in the drill, officials said.

Students are scheduled to be off the day of the drill.

“This type of exercise, when conducted on such a large scale, helps to simulate real-life events and proves invaluable to local agencies and to the public,” said Sherwood Taylor, Pennsbury’s director of administrative services.

School officials and the school board have worked for several months to coordinate the upcoming drill with the numerous agencies involved, Taylor said.

“The Pennsbury School Board asked for us to initiate this important drill. Follow-up discussions afterwards will help us to fine-tune our response activity and protocols,” he said.
