According to a probable cause affidavit, police were dispatched shortly before 4:30 p.m. to the 1100 block of Green Lane in Bristol for the report of a robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, police met with an apparent victim who stated she had been assaulted and robbed by Brewington, who she knows personally. The victim stated that Brewington had slapped her across the face and took her purse before fleeing the scene, according to court papers.

Brewington was located a short time later in the 1200 block of Pacific Avenue where she was restrained by a resident. Police arrived on the scene and Brewington actively resisted arrest and refused to be handcuffed. The officer noted in court records that he needed to deploy his taser to then subdue Brewington and take her into custody, police said.
