After an in-depth investigation, Falls Township police believe they may have removed one of the area’s busiestย heroin distributors off the street.

As LevittownNow.com first reported earlier this month,ย Derron Thompson, 25, was arrested in mid-Januaryย after a three-month long series of tracked transactions led to the sale of 72 bags of heroin throughout Falls, Bristol Township and Bristol Borough. He was charged with 10 misdemeanor and 10 felony drug charges in the case.

Falls police said Tuesday that they have now identified Thompson as a major heroin distributor throughout Bucks County, selling more than 1,400 bags of heroin a week for profit and meeting with users at various locations around the county.

Thompson was found to be in possession of ย 106 bags of heroin, 111 oxycodone pills, 60 Xanax pills, 21 containers of marijuana, a digital scale with residue, and multiple cell phones at the time of his January 19 arrest, police said.

In late January, a search warrant for Thompson’s phone was obtained and messages that appear consistent with the drug trade were found, police said.

Investigators explained that Thompson would set up shop around Bucks County and sell drugs via deals set up by phone.

Thompson, a Bristol Borough resident, is already on probation for the sale of controlled substances from an arrest back in May 2014, which took 96 bags of heroin off the streets.

While Thompson’s bail was originally set at the time of his arrest at 10 percent of $200,000, his bail was decreased to 10 percent of $50,000 on January 24. Thompson is currently incarcerated at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on both bail and retainer.
