Bristol Thrift Store Transitions To New Owners

Without skipping a beat, a new thrift store has taken the place of one that was closing.

After closing at 6 p.m. last Saturday, work was underway to covert the Impact Thrift Store’s fashion outlet in the Commerce Circle shopping center into the Heaven’s Treasures Thrift and Value Store. On Monday morning, the new store opened anew with shelves stocked for bargain hunters.

James Jones, CEO of Heaven’s Treasures, said his organization purchased the Bristol and Hatboro, Montgomery County Impact locations when they learned the nonprofit chain was consolidating to three larger locations. The sale price was not announced.

“We are excited to be a part of the Hatboro and Bristol communities and look to be a key supporter of the people in these regions by offering household goods at low affordable prices,” Jones said.

The deal to sell the two smaller Impact stores to Heaven’s Treasures came late last week, according to Jones. He added that he worked with Impact CEO Gary Wirth to “make a smooth transition for the stores.”

Heaven’s Treasures, which is based on Christian values, will donate a portion of their profits to help support local charities and hire employees who need second chances for employment within the community, Jones said.

Wirth reported that the employees of the Bristol and Hatboro stores were able to keep their jobs with the new owners.
