Middletown police are investigating an attempted burglary at a gas station that sits right off Route 1.
Around 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Picerno’s Gas Station at the corner of the Route 1 access road and South Bellevue Avenue in the Langhorne section of Middletown had a large rock thrown threw the front glass window in a burglary attempt.

Detective Patrick Nicastro said the alarm system in the business went off and the suspect fled in a 2011 to 2013 model year Toyota Corolla with dark tinted front and rear windows.
The suspect was captured on surveillance video and appears to have a very pronounced nose and ears, police said.
Last year, a Philadelphia man was charged with burglarizing Picerno’s Gas Station in 2015.
