Wednesday was a big day for Bristol Borough as the crew from Deluxe Corporation’s “Small Business Revolution” TV series came to town to meet community advocates and business owners.
The crew got into town on Tuesday night and had a brief reception at the King George II Inn before delving in to the heart of the business district on Wednesday.

Throughout Wednesday, the crew, led by show host Amanda Brinkman of Deluxe, met with different business owners to learn what makes Bristol tick, and almost as importantly, what challenges the business community of the riverside town.
“It’s a really great community,” Brinkman said shortly before stopping for lunch. “You can tell that everyone is extremely invested in Bristol Borough’s success.”
“Them just being here is a good thing and is bringing attention to the street,” said Joe Stanley, the owner of Nameless Prints on Mill Street.

Tina Fricano, one of the owners at T.S. Cornerstones book store and cafe on Mill Street, met with the crew at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
“It’s wonderful. It gives me a lot of hope for the future,” Fricano said, referencing all of the work business owners on Mill Street are doing to revitalize the town.

“I don’t know much about the other towns, but from my perspective, Bristol has a ton of potential and is worth the investment, and I think people will see that,” said Andrew Dittman, owner of Calm Water Coffee Roasters.
Town advocates also had good feelings about the visit. Bill Pezza, president of Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar, has been instrumental in organizing the effort of the town to leave a lasting impression on the film crew.
“We have a really good vibe,” Pezza said as the visit was winding down on Wednesday. According to Pezza, the team was very professional, and he thought that the visit went extremely well.

Bristol Borough will find out on Februrary 9 whether it is a finalist or not. If it makes the top four, the decision will come down to a public vote. The winning town will receive a $500,000 grant and be featured on the upcoming season of Small Business Revolution, a Hulu series that is hosted by Brickman and businessman Robert Herjavec.
